May Overview:
This month kicks off with Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto in retrograde motion with three of the four Cardinal signs feeling the urge to reassess. Make sure to check out which houses in your chart are impacted by Aries, Libra, and Capricorn. There’s no other way to describe this month other than exciting. You could find yourself pushing through barriers, crashing through boundaries, and kicking through the doors of your own status quo. The Full Moon on May 10th will have you letting go in order to transform, while the New Moon on May 25th will have you speaking new languages. All in all, this is probably the most exciting month of the year to date, because with Mercury direct, things are much clearer now. The overarching theme for this month is to trust your instincts. Be wise. Stay calm. Find you.
Please see the end of the month for information about the Moon Void of Course (VoC).
Monday, May 1
Today you can feel confident about the changes that are occurring in your life. The encouragement that you are being provided with lets you know that you’ve placed a bet on the right horse. If your dreams seem to be coming true, it’s because you were diligent in your efforts and you’ve nurtured the right seeds. Be proud. Moon VoC 3:23 PM until 11:00 PM, enters Leo.
Tuesday, May 2
You are in communication mode today and you love it. Somehow you know exactly what to say in order to shine a spotlight on your most cherished endeavor. It might seem radical, yet there’s a certain amount of comfort in going after what it is you want. Don’t be shy. Toot your own horn.
Wednesday, May 3
The Moon and the Sun form a harsh angle today, because there’s a strong possibility that you’ll have to make a choice. The choice is between staying the same, or making a change. It’s ok to reevaluate, especially when retrograde planets are involved. If you’re evaluating whether or not your goals are of lesser importance than others’ goals, remember that your goals are just as important. Moon VoC 11:36 PM until tomorrow.
Thursday, May 4
Overnight you learned something about yourself. Now that Mercury is direct, you know that when you change your perspective of your value, real magic can happen. The spotlight is on you. It always has been, it’s just that now you acknowledge your power. Leverage that knowledge to make amazing things happen. Moon VoC 4:47 AM, enters Virgo.
Friday, May 5
There is a beautiful Kite in the sky where the Moon, the Sun, Neptune, and Pluto join forces. You are emotionally in tune with your thoughts and it feels good. It’s like you could have produced your own movie. Although there are many twists and turns, there’s a great deal of wishful thinking, which parlays into faith that there will be a positive outcome.
Saturday, May 6
Today feels a whole lot like yesterday. The Kite is still in the sky, and provides fuel for your next big leap. Keep that momentum going. Feel the excitement of your wildest dreams coming to fruition. Moon VoC 7:43 AM until 1:21 PM, enters Libra.
Sunday, May 7
As reality sets in, you realize that something will have to be put on hold, or reevaluated. Although you’d like to be all things to all people, it’s not always possible. You hope that those in your entourage will continue to be supportive as you look to strike out on your own. This is what happens when the Moon meets up with a retrograde Jupiter, and squares retrograde Pluto.
Monday, May 8
As the Moon and Jupiter huddle up in Libra they have the energy of Mars in Gemini to help them steer the boat. Mars knows that it’s now or never time. So make it now, because never is a really long time. Moon VoC 5:59 PM until midnight, enters Scorpio.
Tuesday, May 9
The Moon opposes Mercury and Uranus today. Not only is change on the horizon, it’s here. You have transformed your situation, and as you look across the table you see all of the beauty that comes with transformation. It’s called growth in your ability to be the change that you seek. Bravo!
Wednesday, May 10
It’s hard to let go of something that you’ve put so much energy into in order to pursue something else. With the Moon in Scorpio, that’s exactly what you must do. The Sun in Taurus opposition the Moon in Scorpio tells you this. You have to be focused right now, and that requires energy and stamina. Full Moon 4:42 PM in Scorpio. Moon VoC 4:43 PM until tomorrow.
Thursday, May 11
As the North Node enters Leo you are starting to accept that willpower is on your side. You are the only one that can redirect your energy. You are the only one that can decide where your focus needs to be. Be wise. Have heart. Moon VoC until 12:00 PM, enters Sagittarius.
Friday, May 12
Faith has brought you a long way. Now with the Moon in Sagittarius, you understand that your pursuit of knowledge in subject matters that seemed to have no rhyme or reason were all for a purpose. This journey wasn’t done in vain; it was done to help you prosper.
Saturday, May 13
When you’re not used to listening to your own gut feeling, it can take some getting used to. Moon VoC 9:15 PM until tomorrow.
Sunday, May 14
As you build up your character, you have the influence of Saturn, the Moon, Mercury, and Uranus to guide you. It takes a lot of courage to generate positive self-esteem. Moon VoC until 12:38 AM, enters Capricorn.
Monday, May 15
As the Moon inches its way towards Pluto, it squares Jupiter and Venus. The emotions that you are experiencing seem a lot like fear and uncertainty. If you change your perspective, those same feelings can be transformed into excitement and hope.
Tuesday, May 16
There are so many people that never get the opportunity to do what they love. With Venus sextiling Mars, you are determined to not be one of those people. Pursue your passion, because when you do that, you live your own best dreams. Moon VoC 5:23 AM until 12:50 PM, enters Aquarius.
Wednesday, May 17
Today is a great day, even though it seems a bit chaotic. There are so many good things occurring right now that it could be hard to take it all in. Don’t allow the fear of failure to stop you. Get out of your own way.
Thursday, May 18
Today could feel like the first day of the rest of your life. There is another Kite in the sky, this time involving Jupiter, the Moon, Mars, and Venus. Celebrate the good times, and if the mood strikes you, shed some tears of joy. You’ve broken through your own barrier faster than you’d ever thought possible. Moon VoC 7:33 PM until 10:53 PM, enters Pisces.
Friday, May 19
As the Moon enters Pisces it meets with Saturn, Uranus, and Mercury. Emotionally you could feel drained, yet in a good way. You are talking yourself through the next steps, and you seem to like what you hear.
Saturday, May 20
Emotional trust is the name of the game today, when the Moon and Neptune sit in the same chair in Pisces. You may become a little misty-eyed when you experience the full depth of change. You’re seeing things that you never thought you’d see, and feeling emotions that you never thought you’d feel. Moon VoC 10:40 PM until tomorrow.
Sunday, May 21
The Sun enters Gemini today, making a positive sextile to the Moon and Chiron. Speak the healing energies of truth into existence today. Moon VoC 5:11 AM, enters Aries.
Monday, May 22
When the Moon and Venus meet in Aries to square Pluto in Capricorn, ask yourself a question: “Who am I now?” Be mindful of the response, because what you identify with is the individual who’s in direct conversation with your crown chakra.
Tuesday, May 23
Yowza! Venus, the Moon, and Uranus are having a conversation with Saturn and Pluto. You might need to sit down, in order to fully understand what they’re trying to say. In layman’s terms, the message is to challenge your own status quo. Moon VoC 2:01 AM until 7:33 AM, enters Taurus.
Wednesday, May 24
If you understood yesterday’s message, then you should be fully aware of the fact that it’s time to get deep. Superficial emotions won’t cut the mustard. Either you know, or you don’t know. There’s no in between. The answer however, is usually somewhere between “I” and “don’t know.” Thank Aquarius, who has a motto of “I Know” for this little reminder. Moon VoC 2:09 PM until tomorrow.
Thursday, May 25
Everything is brand new today. You’re like a fawn learning how to run. Skip walking, it’s time to run. Saturn and Pluto have given you ample enough time to catch up. New Moon 2:44 PM in Gemini. Moon VoC 7:16 AM, enters Gemini.
Friday, May 26
If you feel like you’re in a race, it’s because you are. It’s a race against time. If you know yourself well enough, then you know what the signs are when you start doubting yourself. So, this is a race against doubt, and for courage.
Saturday, May 27
Mars and the Moon sextile Uranus and Venus today. High fives are in order. You went past your idea of karma, and straight to the ideology of dharma. Moon VoC 1:19 AM until 6:25 AM, enters Cancer.
Sunday, May 28
Have you ever had a day when you talk to yourself and have a tingling feeling, as though you just spoke the future into existence? Well, today is one of those days when you’ve planted a seed that has the potential to bear fruit.
Monday, May 29
You could look to Venus and Uranus in Aries, or Pluto in Capricorn today for guidance. Another option is to stare Neptune in Pisces in the face. If I were you, I’d leverage the spin-master planet, because that’s the one that knows how to turn fantasy into opportunity. Moon VoC 2:01 AM until 7:13 AM, enters Leo.
Tuesday, May 30
As the Moon makes its way back into Leo, there’s a sense of pride. This was a whirlwind month that brought so much good news it was hard to breathe at times. Although it’s just the beginning, you have the ability to see the finish line.
Wednesday, May 31
Saturn, Uranus, Venus, Mars, the Moon, and the North Node would like to end this month with a Kite in the sky. When the North Node is involved, you best believe that there was a lesson that was being learned, and evidently, you’ve passed the test. Rejoice. Moon VoC 6:15 AM until 11:16 AM, enters Virgo.
The Moon Void of Course (VoC) is the time period from when the Moon makes its last aspect in one sign before moving into the next sign. The Moon is the fastest-moving planet, and transitions from one sign into the next every 1-3 days. What that means is that the Moon is constantly in motion, it’s never retrograde, so it’s inevitable that she will connect with “something,” i.e. another planet or transit, until the moment that she doesn’t. During the moments when she doesn’t connect, we call it the Moon Void of Course. When these events occur, the best thing to do is to meditate, sit still, and listen to your higher guidance. Sitting still does not mean to physically sit still, although it can be beneficial.
