December Overview:

December sees us bringing in the month on the heels of a new Moon in Sagittarius from the previous month. This energy will give us a “hurry up and wait” type of energy. There are no major roadblocks, yet there are areas that we need to revise; and Pluto and Mercury retrograde give us the bandwidth to review, while Mars provides the energy to see things through. During the month, some old lessons learned will be put into practice, which will cause you to evaluate how much of yourself you want to sacrifice for the benefit of others. As long as you recognize that you are just as important as the next person, and deserving of happiness, you’ll be just fine. As you come upon the end of the year, you’ll see that you’ve built a strong, more solid foundation within yourself. The acknowledgment of this simple fact will catapult you towards uncharted waters that will have far-reaching impacts in the year to come. The Sagittarius New Moon energy still lingers as Mercury and the Moon spend a few early morning moments together. As they positively aspect retrograde Uranus there is the vague undertone of “hurry up and wait” in the air. Take any nervous energy and put it towards something productive, like your future. Ready set go, go, go. Today is an emotionally charged day, with you willingly forging partnerships. This shines a spotlight on the strides you’ve made towards progress. The lovely Moon-Mercury sextile during the latter part of the evening has you in ideation mode. The most amazing part is this-others finally see the big picture too; it’s not just you anymore. As the Moon enters Pisces, it sits close to Neptune the dreamer. Some of those dreams go directly against the grain, and could be considered by some to be illusions. As the Moon goes Void of Course, it bumps and glances to its right, and sees Chiron the wounded healer. The Moon nestles up against retrograde Uranus today. This aspect trines an equally eager Sun/Saturn conjunction. Between these four planets, no stone has been left unturned. The skies are a little tense today, with a Grand Cross involving Mercury and Pluto in Capricorn, retrograde Uranus in Aries, the Moon in Cancer, and Jupiter in Libra. The balancing act just got real. Sometimes you have to give a little to get a little, and sometimes you have to get a little in order to give. Just make sure you aren’t at a deficit when you’re in the giving mood. We have a double dose of Grand Trine energy today, as the Sun and Saturn each have separate stories to tell the Moon and retrograde Uranus. One story talks about the need to be vigilant, and to continue to add great effort to achieve your goals. For the first time in a long time, the Moon is flying solo. This means that your internal intuition can have a moment of silence, and to just be still. It’s the perfect way to end 2016.

The Moon Void of Course (VoC) is the time period from when the Moon makes its last aspect in one sign before moving into the next sign. The Moon is the fastest-moving planet, and transitions from one sign into the next every 1-3 days. What that means is that the Moon is constantly in motion, it’s never retrograde, so it’s inevitable that she will connect with “something,” i.e. another planet or transit, until the moment that she doesn’t. During the moments when she doesn’t connect, we call it the Moon Void of Course. When these events occur, the best thing to do is to meditate, sit still, and listen to your higher guidance. Sitting still does not mean to physically sit still, although it can be beneficial.
