April can have you feeling like you’ve just signed up for Kaleidoscope, a social experiment in living like someone else. (trykaleidoscope.strikingly.com.) This month the rules change, grow, and expand, allowing you to feel freer, and perhaps like a newbie on your journey. With Jupiter, Venus, and Mercury retrograde this month, things are bound to get interesting. Chiron, the wounded healer, along with the North Node, play a critical role in this month’s awakening. The Sun in Taurus gives us the determination to supersede our wildest expectations. This month we actually clean out the proverbial closet, without anyone telling us to do so. In April, we do the work with a tenaciousness that has even our staunchest critics providing a round of applause. The Full Moon in Libra, and the New Moon in Taurus have us breaking and making new habits that lead us on a path to liberty. When we untangle our own webs, what we end up having is silk.
*Please see the end of the month for information about the Moon Void of Course (VoC)*
Saturday, April 1
As Venus retrogrades back to 0° Aries you can’t help but be reminded of life’s lessons. Buried messages could make their way back to you, causing you to be on high alert. This newly uncovered information isn’t meant to force you into any unnecessary action. It’s only uncovered so that you can breathe a sigh of relief.
Sunday, April 2
As the Moon leaves Gemini, it opposes Saturn in Sagittarius. The emotional ties that bound you to your former self are visible. Just remember that they are visible in the rear-view mirror. Hindsight is in fact 20/20. Moon VoC 9:43 AM until 1:28 PM in Cancer.
Monday, April 3
Retrograde Venus enters Pisces today, and T-Squares with the Moon and Saturn. Unconscious fears are there for a reason, and that’s most likely due to you not being ready or equipped with enough knowledge to address them. Now that you have enough information, it will become easier to untie yourself from the knot. Once you do that, you can move from a place of “why the knot” to a place of “why not?”
Tuesday, April 4
The Cardinal Grand Cross has Jupiter, the Moon, Pluto, Uranus, Mercury, and the Sun involved in a conversation. This is a moment when you start speaking differently to your most captive audience, you. If you treat yourself with nurturing respect, then others will do the same. Moon VoC 3:46 PM until 5:14 PM in Leo.
Wednesday, April 5
As a retrograde Venus inches her way towards Chiron, the wounded healer, pay attention to energy that resonates. Whatever that sensation feels like, remember it, because it’s the feeling of intuition. Saturn retrograde starts today.
Thursday, April 6
Oh, snap! When the Moon positively aspects the Sun and Uranus today you get an electromagnetic pulse that has you in supercharge growth mode. The ability to understand what radiates from you, and what comes from others’ actions is your super power today. Moon VoC 7:17 PM until 11:20 PM in Virgo.
Friday, April 7
With a grand trine, the Moon hanging out with the North Node, and a retrograde Saturn, who could ask for more? Are you supposed to learn about other people’s free will during this lifetime, or are you supposed to pay attention to the power of your own free will? Remember, it begins with one; one action; one cause; one source.
Saturday, April 8
As the Moon makes its way through Virgo, we all have a better understanding of what our “ritual de lo habitual” (daily ritual) is supposed to look like. In case you missed the memo, it’s supposed to look like the future, and we are only supposed to learn from the past, not repeat it.
Sunday, April 9
Become a willing participant in your transformation today. Pluto, the change-maker is not trying to drag you along on this journey up the mountain. (S)He’s trying to bring you to a place of what’s happening now. Mercury is retrograde. Moon VoC 3:22 AM until 7:35 PM in Libra.
Monday, April 10
When you’re able to compartmentalize your emotions in order to gain clarity, count your blessings, because this means that although there is dust, you can at least see where the dust is coming from. Investing in yourself doesn’t mean that you are not investing in others, even if it feels like it to you and them. Make sure that guilt doesn’t disguise itself as a form of love.
Tuesday, April 11
As the Moon meets up with Jupiter retrograde in Libra, you reach a high point. It’s not the transformation of others you’ve found; it’s your own transformation. Sit in that revelation for a moment. Embrace it; love it; own it; and then breathe. Full Moon 1:08 AM in Libra. Moon VoC 1:19 AM until 5:42 PM in Scorpio.
Wednesday, April 12
When two water signs connect, it can be emotional. That’s what today is all about; when the Moon and Neptune connect in Scorpio and Pisces. Wash away all doubts; you’ve made some difficult decisions, yet they’ve been the right ones to make.
Thursday, April 13
When you cross chasms it sometimes hurts. It’s like the chest tightens up so much that you feel you can barely breathe; yet with every step you remove one more barrier; you accomplish one more goal; and you get an even closer view of the possibilities. Take note of this, as retrograde Venus, Chiron, Uranus, and the Sun conjunct in Pisces and Aries. Moon VoC 11:18 PM until tomorrow morning.
Friday, April 14
Venus and Chiron can’t get any closer than they are today. As you cleanse your pain points, make sure to find a clearer path. It takes a lot of courage to go over old wounds, yet you are traveling on the path. The next time you encounter this road, you will be able to walk on by. Moon VoC ends 5:27 AM in Sagittarius.
Saturday, April 15
The Sun and Uranus in Aries are teaming up today. It’s a new day; it’s a new dawn; it’s a new life for you. Jupiter in Libra offers freedom. Pluto in Capricorn offers change. Stand in that light as rebellious as it might seem, yet stand in it.
Sunday, April 16
As Mercury backs into the Sun and Uranus, you hear an echo of knowledge that sounds familiar. There is something to be said about accepting guidance when it feels right. Moon VoC 1:27 PM until 6:05 PM in Capricorn.
Monday, April 17
Chiron and Venus are once again nestled together. As they engage in conversation with Mars, and indirectly with Pluto, you could have the urge to become one with the pace of change. If you practice emotional restraint in chaotic situations, you will begin to experience innovative ways of meeting your needs.
Tuesday, April 18
Do your best to ground your energies today. There is an electric undercurrent that could have you a bit frazzled. Do your best to remain in control of your emotions, and put your fears at bay.
Wednesday, April 19
As Mercury retraces its steps it meets up with the Sun in Aries. There is a gigantic spotlight on you, or at least that’s how it appears. What’s being evaluated is your ability to lead the conversation; therefore, lead with confidence. It’s how you demonstrate your value to the community. Moon VoC 4:56 AM until 5:51 AM in Aquarius.
Thursday, April 20
Both Mercury and the Sun are at 0° Aries today. I hope you’re proud of your accomplishments, because you went out there and did something that others didn’t think you had the ability to do; you let your lessons learned be your guide.
Friday, April 21
Mars and Jupiter are engaged in a hush-hush conversation that most are not paying attention to just yet. Perhaps it’s a conversation that requires no words; yet it’s actually a conversation that only requires action. Moon VoC 1:22 PM until 2:42 PM in Pisces.
Saturday, April 22
Mars in Gemini is about to blaze a trail. You might feel like you’re the talk of the town, which could make you feel uncomfortable, although you secretly love all of this attention.
Sunday, April 23
Today you might feel a little emotional. It’s because you’ve accomplished something monumental in your life. You’ve weeded your own garden, and have made room for new things to bloom. Bravo. Moon VoC 4:34 PM until 7:32 PM in Aries.
Monday, April 24
With the Moon in Aries squaring Saturn, your emotions are under control, and you find yourself speaking with newfound authority. There is no need to force others to see your light, because they already see it. This has been a long time coming. Be thankful today.
Tuesday, April 25
With the Sun in Taurus, you have an unwavering commitment to achieve your goals. If at any point in time, you questioned your ability to do the proverbial work, today proves that you have what it takes to succeed, even under enormous amounts of pressure. Things won’t always be this easy, yet they won’t always be as difficult either. Moon VoC 4:53 PM until 8:56 PM in Taurus.
Wednesday, April 26
The New Moon in Taurus has you feeling determined to chart new waters, and pave new paths. Discovering new facets of yourself gives you the sense that you are walking in another person’s shoes. Enjoy the newness. New Moon at 7:16 AM.
Thursday, April 27
Mercury and Uranus come face to face today. If you feel a little mentally confused, or if your speech seems erratic, don’t be concerned; it’s because you’re really excited about the things that are ahead of you. Moon VoC 8:17 PM until 8:39 PM in Gemini.
Friday, April 28
The Moon meets up with Mars and positively aspects Chiron, the wounded healer. You are single-handedly teaching people how to overcome their obstacles. You’re doing this by showing rather than telling. It’s difficult to know if they are paying attention, yet you realize that pushing past the borders of your own boundaries is what motivates you, not the accolades from others.
Saturday, April 29
Venus is at 0° Aries today. It’s easy for people to say “love yourself first,” or “have faith in the process,” yet there is no internal manual that lets you know when you’ve achieved those principles. Well, the way you feel today could be an indication of how it feels to really value yourself through all of your pain. Moon VoC 4:28 PM until 8:48 PM in Cancer.
Sunday, April 30
You end the month with the North Node at 0° Virgo, and Venus at 0° Aries. As you look over the past month and evaluate the high points, as well as the less than stellar moments, ask yourself what changed? Was it the outcome that changed, or was it the expectation?
The Moon Void of Course (VoC) is the time period from when the Moon makes its last aspect in one sign before moving into the next sign. The Moon is the fastest-moving planet, and transitions from one sign into the next every 1-3 days. What that means is that the Moon is constantly in motion, it’s never retrograde, so it’s inevitable that she will connect with “something,” i.e. another planet or transit, until the moment that she doesn’t. During the moments when she doesn’t connect, we call it the Moon Void of Course. When these events occur, the best thing to do is to meditate, sit still, and listen to your higher guidance. Sitting still doesn’t mean to physically sit still, although it can be beneficial.
