Welcome Shaman Romulo Lizarraga Valencia

Romulo Lizarraga Valencia is a Quechua Peruvian Indian, born & raised at the base of Machu Picchu. He grew up on the family farm, learning the healing & spiritual arts of the Andes from his mother. Romulo has traveled extensively throughout Peru, working with many Shamans, Initiates, and Healers. He currently acts as a tour guide, taking people to the Inca trail, or Kto the many sacred sites of his ancestors. He teaches groups how to perform ceremony, how to heal one’s soul, and how to create a more balanced and whole life.

Yoga: Uniting East & West 
Celebrating the 125th Birth Anniversary of Paramahamsa Yogananda 
The father of Yoga in the west, and author of the spiritual classic Autobiography of a Yogi 

May 12-13, 2017 

(Both programs are open to all & free to attend) 

May 12th, 7–9 pm – The world renowned Kriya Yoga master Paramahamsa Prajnanananda will give a discourse on “Yoga: Uniting East & West,” at Fourth Presbyterian Church (Buchanan Chapel),126 E. Chestnut St. Chicago, IL 60611. Refreshments at 6:30 pm. 

May 13th, 8:30am – 1:30 pm – Paramahamsa Prajnanananda will preside over a grand celebration featuring: a panel discussion on Yoga, keynote address by Craig Marshall (devotee of Yogananda and a monk for 35 years), talk on the topic by Ms. Neeta Bhushan (Consul General of India), an exhibition on Yogananda’ s life and teachings, and a concert of Yogananda’s songs. The event is at The Hindu Temple of Greater Chicago, 10915 Lemont Rd. Lemont, IL 60439. Lunch for all at 1:30 pm.

Beauty, Bollywood and Beyond

Our “ALL ABOUT TOWN” columnist Theresa Puskar will be performing her solo show, BEAUTY, BOLLYWOOD AND BEYOND on Tuesday, May 16th, at 7:30 pm at the Berger Park Coach House Theater. Tickets are $10, and are going fast (only 50 seats). Best described as “Eat, Pray, Love meets the Wisdom in the Untold Stories of the Fairytale Princesses," this is more than a theatrical production. Word of Faeries Festival
