The month of October brings more of the same energy you’ve been dealing with recently. Mercury is retrograde along with Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. With so much of the chart going backward, it’s hard to move forwards. There’s a purpose in the retrogrades. It causes you to slow down and retrace your recent steps. This is a time to check your decisions and, if something doesn’t feel correct, to make a new choice.
On October 6, there’s a new moon in Libra, and Pluto goes direct. This is a time when you may be paying more attention to your work/life balance. You may hear a lot of people talking about fairness and balance in general. You may want to put more beauty into your life. You may want to beautify yourself. And this is a time to be thinking about your relationships with others and checking in with friends and family members you haven’t spoken to in a while.
On October 18, Mercury and Jupiter go direct. Jupiter is the planet of knowledge and spirituality. It also brings luck. Now with both of these planets moving forward, some new opportunities can come to you. It will take a little while for these two heavenly bodies to get up to speed. So over the next few weeks, a lot of what you’ve been expecting finally comes in.
On October 20, there’s a full moon in Aries. This brings lessons about independence and initiating action. There will be talk about becoming more self-reliant (which may mean you are stocking the pantry for future storms) and finding strategies to reduce procrastination. This is when you could ask yourself where you should meet things head-on and where you need to be more assertive.
On October 30, Mars enters Scorpio and will stay there until December 13. Mars co-rules Scorpio, so it feels quite comfortable in this sign. This is more intense energy, and you might read about people being more angry, violent, or trying to achieve goals no matter what the cost. You can expect people to be more conservative with their money while Mars is in Scorpio. Scorpio also rules secrets, and so the secrets of high-profile people may be revealed.
Aries
There’s a lot of energy for you around relationships, especially a romantic, passionate connection. If you’re looking for love, it’s likely you’ll meet someone new. There’s a possible business partnership brewing. A former colleague may reach out to you to tell you of a job opening. Some technology issues could have you considering new equipment. Towards the end of the month, there is some good news connected to an investment. You may receive a helpful tip about the timing of this option.
Taurus
The month of October has you working quite a lot. You may get some recognition or a promotion. Now you’re working more hours, taking on bigger projects, or managing a team. Some good health news is possible. You or one of your kids is on stage and receiving applause. A financial deal is delayed but may come through the end of the month or early next month. Relationship energy heats up towards the end of the month. A person you’re interested in may ask you out on a date.
Gemini
The focus for you this month is on having fun. You’re not that interested in working at this time. It’s good if you take some time off. It’s likely you’ll be quite busy towards the end of the month with work and obligations. A contract you’ve been expecting comes in towards the end of the month. An old flame or someone you knew in high school could come back into your life. Now you can see if there’s still some heat there. You may be getting back into the gym or getting into a workout routine.
Cancer
Real estate, home, and family are the focus in the month of October. You could be refinancing your house, putting an offer on a new home, or renting out your basement on Airbnb. There are actually several financial opportunities connected to home and real estate for you. If you’re looking for love, you could meet someone new, but the first date may not happen until November. You may be a little bored with your job this month, or you are finding your supervisor a little tedious.
Leo
In the month of October, there’s a lot of focus on communication, transportation, and short-distance travel. You may be dealing with issues around your vehicle, and towards the end of the month, you might consider getting a new car or truck. You may have more contact with siblings, cousins, or younger relatives. Some home renovations start happening at the end of the month. Your love relationship gets more serious and more committed. A job opportunity comes from a former colleague.
Virgo
This is a strong financial month for Virgo natives. You might receive a windfall that could become a regular source of income. But there are some issues around investments, and you may need to review statements or make some changes. You’re feeling a little overworked, and your team may be short one member. Libra

At the same time, your finances are a little strained due to some recent outgo, possibly for education or to pay for a future trip. A love relationship becomes more solid, and you may announce that you’ll be living together or getting engaged. Someone in the family could announce a pregnancy.
Aquarius
The month of October is focused on education. This might be for you, or you are helping your kids navigate homework and tests. A legal matter you have been working on is settled. A new way of eating likely creates some weight loss for you. There is some strain in your love life. There could be several arguments, and one of you could feel trapped. A financial opportunity is available to you, but it’s outside your comfort zone, and it will take some investigation to really understand its full scope.
Pisces
This month there are many resources available to you. You may be doing a bill consolidation loan, lowering interest rates on credit cards, or refinancing your house. A student loan or education issue needs your attention. You may start attending religious or spiritual services again. You and your partner may have a disagreement about finances, and compromise will be needed. You’re getting a lot done at work, but you’ll need to say something to get the recognition you deserve.
