Happy Lunar New Year! It’s the year of the water Tiger. It’s also the new moon in Aquarius on February 1st (Lunar New Year always falls on the new moon in Aquarius). This is a great time to renew your New Year’s resolutions and to start fresh. Water Tiger energy is quite exciting. Many people will desire to meet new friends and go to new places. You may already feel the itch to try something new. There’s no reason to revert to the past when there are so many inviting opportunities.
Mercury is retrograde from January 14 to February 3. As we start the month of February, Mercury is moving very slowly. In the last few days of Mercury retrograde, it’s a great time to clean and close the last bits of 2021 in order for you to move forward. When Mercury turns direct on February 3, it will start by moving very slowly forward. This means that it may take a few days for arrival of the paperwork or email messages for which you have been waiting.
During the second week of February, there is some explosive energy when Venus and Mars make a trine to Uranus. You could fall head over heels in love with a person, a puppy, a flashy car, or some other shiny material object. If you’re going to do some impulse shopping (or elope), this is the week that it will happen.
February 16 marks the full moon in Leo. The energy for this full moon shows that things are in motion, and it’s now out of your hands. Choices have been made, bets have been placed, and now the wheel is spinning. It’s time to sit back and wait for the results.
Toward the middle of the month, Jupiter begins a dance with Uranus. This energy can facilitate life changes like starting a new diet or exercise program, jumping into a new course of study, or renovating your bathroom by yourself. This is a positive connection between these two planets, so it’s likely to lead to a good outcome — though the beginning could be rather sudden and unexpected.
Throughout the month of February (and for the next 18 months or so), the North Node is traveling through Taurus and crossing some difficult fixed stars. Inflation numbers could be high in February. There could also be headlines of artists making millions by selling digital art and NFTs.
In March, we have some very positive energy since no planets will be in retrograde (so everything is moving forward). Also, Venus and Mars are conjunct, so there’s harmony between desire and action. Look for all the details next month.

For Aries, the year of the water Tiger can be very positive. The energy is quite harmonious with your high energy and active nature. In February, the focus is getting reacquainted with friends and becoming more active in groups and organizations. Your financial picture slowly improves throughout the month, and you’ll probably make more money than usual. A job or business opportunity is possible.
Taurus
For Taurus, the year of the water Tiger can feel like everything is happening too fast. You may try to apply the brakes. In February, your reputation improves, and you may receive an award or recognition for community service. Your relationship improves as you and your sweetheart could be traveling or taking a class together.
