I love being in the flow of life and observing how everything unfolds at the right moment. When I put together each issue of Conscious Community Magazine, I feel that my writers and I are guided by Spirit. Each month’s articles and columns have a theme which gives each issue a totally unique form and feeling. I love this freedom of creation which allows this magazine to offer its readers what they need the most at the current moment. This month’s theme is the communities which we are all part of — and Halloween.
Conscious Community Magazine’s festival, expo and retreat season is coming to an end. Thanks to all of the people who helped me with these events, as well as the organizers for inviting us. I met so many new, like-minded people this year, made new connections and discovered new opportunities for the magazine. I will share about all of this later in the magazine. Being at those different conferences this year made me realize how much we need each other and that all of us are in unity. This month’s podcast guest, Gary Gach, spoke with Janae and Spencer about how crucial creating conscious communities is for the future of the planet in their interview, The Community of Communities.
Also, in October, we celebrate Halloween, which in its many forms, is one of the most recognizable celebrations around the world. This holiday reminds me that there is life on the other side and that we can communicate with our departed friends and family all the time—if we are aware of that or not. Many of you knew or met Walter Perschke, the previous publisher of Conscious Community Magazine. Walter passed away in May of 2016. I worked with him during the last nine years of his life. I know that he touched many of your hearts and that he is still doing so from the other side. I know for a fact that he is looking over me and this community right now. I would like to share with you some of my “Walter stories” since he passed away.
One day, I got a call from SynergenX Health & Wellness Center in Burr Ridge saying that they would like to have copies of Conscious Community Magazine for their center. Their address is 11S250 South Jackson Street, Burr Ridge. When I looked up this address, I said to myself, “This wellness center is located where Walter used to live and held his meditations.” The next day, I arrived at the center and discovered that the center is exactly on the opposite side of the road from Walter’s home! I started laughing. Then I went to the center and put Conscious Community Magazines on the table. I heard a man’s voice calling to me, asking to advertise in the magazine. He told me that he sees the magazine everywhere and would like to be a part of it. We were talking about business, and then I asked him, “What is your name?” He replied, “Walter!!!”
Another story happened last year on Thanksgiving Day. Some of you may not know that Walter Perschke was a part of the first generation of his family to be born in the U.S. His parents came to the U.S. from Germany. While driving home from Thanksgiving dinner, I saw a car with license plates in front of me that read, “Danke,” which means “Thank you” in German. If you have any “Walter stories” about how he communicated with you, please let me know by email, Kasia@ConsciousCommunityMagazine.com.
Finally, I would like to introduce our newest writer for Cosmic Daily Weather, Bernadette Evans. She is from Vancouver, Canada. Bernadette is an astrologer, as well as a lightworker, who will let us know every month what is happening in the stars.
Enjoy reading our October issue!
The Best,
