Michele Baker learned that she was able to communicate with angels in her early 30s. Full of magical photos, this book starts off with an introduction to the Wheel of the Year. Anjou Kiernan then gives a brief background of each pagan holiday followed by rituals and other correspondences related to each sacred day. Kiernan makes it easy for any person to set up an altar by including specific instructions. She also provides DIY projects and simple rituals to enable readers to consciously reflect upon the seasonal Sabbats and holidays.


Politics and Conscience: Dag Hammarskjold on the Art of Ethical Leadership, by Roger Lipsey (Shambhala, $18.95, Hardcover)

Serving as the Secretary-General of the United Nations from 1953 to 1961, Dag Hammarskjold emerged as an international hero as he handled his duties with poise and grace. In this book, Roger Lipsey analyzes the moral codes by which Hammarskjold lived and offers a muc h-needed vision of ethical leadership.
