I am excited and honored to share with you our first-ever interview with one of our millennial and post-millennial readers. These young writers will be sharing their thoughts and wisdom with all of the Conscious Community. The first interview is with Kayla Staley, a high school student who has chosen to share with us two of her heartfelt poems, Invisibility and In Your Dreams.

Also, we have a great interview with licensed professional counselor, mindfulness coach and anxiety survivor, Corinne Zupko, entitled Listening To The Voice of Love. Corinne shares how her spiritual practice helped rescue her from her debilitating anxiety. In this interview, you will discover how you can manage your fears and anxieties by coming back into your being, your true self.

One of my favorite ways to relax is baking and cooking. Recently, I have begun an adventure of baking different breads. I love bread, and I could eat it all day, every day! Bread always brings good memories, the feeling of home and safety. In this issue, Janae Jean will tell how to make Vegan Soda Bread. I hope you will try it, and send her some pictures of your creations to Janae@ConsciousCommunityMagazine.com.

We will be adding new exciting content to ConsciousCommunityMagazine.com throughout March. This month, we are proud to give you an interview and podcast with the daughter of influential philosopher and advocate of Eastern thought in the West, Alan Watts. Anne Watts discusses The Collected Letters of Alan Watts and why her father’s work is still so relevant today. Other web exclusives include health and wellness articles, such as one on the importance of vitamin D for your bones. Visit our website and follow our social media to stay up-to-date with our latest content.

As the spring begins, one of the most beautiful scenes in the Midwest is the cluster of daffodils that bloom along the roadsides, the prairie paths and in our gardens. In his column this month, Alan Cohen reminds us that like the daffodils, we bloom when we make heartfelt connections with others. Let us bloom together!

Until next time,

Kasia Szumal
