Friends of Astrology 80th Anniversary!

with Georgia Stathis on Synodic Cycles: Saturn/Pluto, Jupiter/Pluto, Saturn/Jupiter

Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

When two planets conjoin, regardless of whether a different set does it every two or more years or another set does it every 35 years, each pairing has a certain cosmic DNA that begins a new phase in one’s life wherever it is happening in their chart. This is the gift of synodic cycles. The three alignments happening in 2020 are now in their final phases. One lasts for a 38-year cycle, another for 13 years and another is a 20-year cycle. It is important to remember that the most challenging portion of any of these cycles is as they come to an end, where the three are at the present time. Last phases bring confusion while at the same are in incubation mode waiting to start anew. Patience is key. An understanding that though things seem chaotic, they are simply losing energy in their struggle to maintain the status quo. We just have to ride the last waves of the cycles to begin again.

Location: Hilton Chicago, 9333 S. Cicero Avenue, Oak Lawn, IL 60453

Visit www.friendsofastrology.org or call 773-559-1022.

Cost: $90 until Oct. 15, 2018; $110 afterwards.

Red Cross

Blood, platelet donations needed in wake of Hurricane Florence

Thousands of lifesaving blood donations have gone uncollected due to drive cancellations forced by the hurricane, but patients still need critical medical care.

ILLINOIS (Sept. 20, 2018) — As the American Red Cross responds to Hurricane Florence, providing food, shelter and comfort to those affected, individuals outside the affected areas are urged to help by giving blood or platelets to care for patients in the storm’s path and across the country. People can also help by making a financial donation to support relief efforts.

HURRICANE’S IMPACT ON BLOOD AND PLATELET DONATIONS

Hurricane Florence’s wrath left catastrophic damage behind and took a toll on blood and platelet donations. Nearly 200 Red Cross blood drives in the Southeast were forced to cancel, resulting in more than 5,200 uncollected blood and platelet donations.

HOW TO HELP

Donors of all blood types are urged to help restore hope to patients across the country by making an appointment today to give blood or platelets. Appointments can be made by using the Blood Donor App, visiting RedCrossBlood.org or calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).

Financial donations are also needed and allow the Red Cross to provide disaster relief immediately. Help people affected by Hurricane Florence by visiting RedCross.org, calling 1-800-RED CROSS or texting the word FLORENCE to 90999 to make a $10 donation.

Up-to-date information about how the Red Cross is responding to Hurricane Florence is available at RedCross.org.
