December sees us bringing in the month on the heels of a new Moon in Sagittarius from the previous month. This energy will give us a “hurry up and wait” type of energy. There are no major roadblocks, yet there are areas that we need to revise; and Pluto and Mercury retrograde give us the bandwidth to review, while Mars provides the energy to see things through. During the month, some old lessons learned will be put into practice, which will cause you to evaluate how much of yourself you want to sacrifice for the benefit of others. As long as you recognize that you are just as important as the next person, and deserving of happiness, you’ll be just fine. As you come upon the end of the year, you’ll see that you’ve built a strong, more solid foundation within yourself. The acknowledgment of this simple fact will catapult you towards uncharted waters that will have far-reaching impacts in the year to come. Be kind to yourself; you deserve a reward for a job well done.
** Please see the end of the month for information about the Moon Void of Course (VoC). **
Thursday, December 1
The Sagittarius New Moon energy still lingers as Mercury and the Moon spend a few early morning moments together. As they positively aspect retrograde Uranus there is the vague undertone of “hurry up and wait” in the air. Take any nervous energy and put it towards something productive, like your future. Moon VoC ends at 8:50 AM in Capricorn.
Friday, December 2
Dreams have the potential to come true. With that said, dreams combined with the action of doing the work, have an even greater chance of success. That’s what the Moon in Capricorn sextile Neptune tells you.
Saturday, December 3
When you’re working on something important, remember to nurture your creation with love and rejuvenation. These days, and for the days to come, you are required to be the motivating source of your inspiration. Others can encourage or discourage you; you’re the only one that can be the motivating source of inspiration, according to Pluto, the Moon, Venus, and Uranus. Moon VoC 1:17 AM until 10:45 AM in Aquarius.
Sunday, December 4
With the Moon in Aquarius anything can happen, especially when it comes to partnerships. The trines occurring between the Moon and Jupiter, and Jupiter and Mars could have you visualizing and brainstorming as if your future depended on it. If you’ve got big ideas, now is the time to actively create.
Monday, December 5
Ready set go, go, go. Today is an emotionally charged day, with you willingly forging partnerships. This shines a spotlight on the strides you’ve made towards progress. The lovely Moon-Mercury sextile during the latter part of the evening has you in ideation mode. The most amazing part is this-others finally see the big picture too; it’s not just you anymore. Moon VoC 2:24 AM until 7:32 PM.
Tuesday, December 6
As the Moon enters Pisces, it sits close to Neptune the dreamer. Some of those dreams go directly against the grain, and could be considered by some to be illusions. What are illusions to some are big-picture dreams to others. Sometimes you’ve got to be your most authentic self, even if it means shaking things up a little.
Wednesday, December 7
As the Moon goes Void of Course, it bumps and glances to its right, and sees Chiron the wounded healer. This is a lesson that can only be attributed to the old saying, “to thine own self be true.” Stand in your power. Stand in knowledge. These are the principles being taught by the Sun, Saturn, and Pluto. Moon VoC 5:52 AM in Pisces until tomorrow morning.
Thursday, December 8
Venus enters Aquarius today at 0°, and sextiles the Moon in Pisces. Today, you place a great deal of energy on navigating the path. You are following your internal strategic direction, rather than being led to a destination that isn’t befitting for someone of your caliber. Moon VoC ends at 1:16 AM.
Friday, December 9
The Moon nestles up against retrograde Uranus today. This aspect trines an equally eager Sun/Saturn conjunction. Between these four planets, no stone has been left unturned. What felt like a disruptive investment back in April, now looks a whole lot like a money maker. Moon VoC from 4:07 PM in Aries until tomorrow morning.
Saturday, December 10
Today as you nurture your innovative instincts and visualize your transformation, you will see how your leadership style can lead you to uncharted waters. Patterns are difficult to break, especially when they’ve become crutches. You no longer need those crutches. Walk on your own, even with a slight limp; it’s character building. Moon VoC until 3:41 AM.
Sunday, December 11
As the Moon squares Pluto, you might feel a little antsy. This is because there could be a strong propensity to stay in the same place, and resist moving in a new direction. By tomorrow, this energy will end. With that said, you might need to ask why you’re still attached to this particular value point? Is it because you feel uncomfortable being who you really are? Moon VoC 7:05 PM in Taurus until tomorrow morning.
Monday, December 12
As the Moon makes its way through Taurus, it longingly admires Venus by way of a trine. Mars wants you to hurry up and get on with it. Yes, you loved your previous crew or lifestyle, and now it’s time to move towards bigger and brighter days. Smooches. Let the unknown be a motivator, rather than allowing the tried and true to be an inhibitor. Moon VoC until 3:42 AM.
Tuesday, December 13
Today is like a celestial jackpot, with two Kites forming in the sky. Look to the Moon and Jupiter to help resolve any uncertainties. There are plenty of fruitful relationships that are being constructed with Jupiter in Libra. Some of these relationships are unconventional and unexpected, yet they are a welcome sight. With the Moon in Gemini, you know exactly what to say in order to build partnerships. Full Moon 6:06 PM in Gemini. VoC 8:58 PM in Gemini until tomorrow morning.
Wednesday, December 14
Today the Moon is the center of attention, as it continues to be the leader of the pack. Know what needs to be said, and what doesn’t. Follow your intuitive radar as you navigate complex relationships. VoC until 4:09 AM.
Thursday, December 15
The skies are a little tense today, with a Grand Cross involving Mercury and Pluto in Capricorn, retrograde Uranus in Aries, the Moon in Cancer, and Jupiter in Libra. The balancing act just got real. Sometimes you have to give a little to get a little, and sometimes you have to get a little in order to give. Just make sure you aren’t at a deficit when you’re in the giving mood. Remember, you also have to eat. VoC 12:37 PM in Cancer until tomorrow morning.
Friday, December 16
That Grand Cross from yesterday is still with us today, just not as harsh. The realization that you do not have to sacrifice yourself resonated loud and clear. You can thank the Mercury/Pluto conjunction opposite the Moon for that little realization. VoC until 4:15 AM.
Saturday, December 17
The energy of the Grand Fire Trine involving the Moon, retrograde Uranus, Saturn, and the Sun is electric. With this type of energy, you’ve mastered your emotions, tamed your fears, and learned your lessons. Bravo!
Sunday, December 18
We have a double dose of Grand Trine energy today, as the Sun and Saturn each have separate stories to tell the Moon and retrograde Uranus. One story talks about the need to be vigilant, and to continue to add great effort to achieve your goals. The other story is about the ability to remain focused on the goal, while not allowing yourself to attempt too much too soon. VoC 7:56 AM in Leo until 8:52 AM.
Monday, December 19
As the Moon makes its way into Virgo, it comes into contact with the North Node, and with Mars at 0° Pisces, it’s important to listen up. The gist of the story is move swiftly yet cautiously, be ambitious, yet not naïve. Remember this as Mercury goes retrograde today.
Tuesday, December 20
Retrograde Mercury and Pluto are today’s power couple. Therefore, their union is all about resetting and reinforcing. During this time, you’ll start the process of tightening up any projects that you’ve recently begun. It’s guaranteed to make whatever endeavor you’ve undertaken sturdier. VoC 4:56 PM in Virgo until 5:40 PM.
Wednesday, December 21
Well, hello Moon, hello Jupiter. These two want in on the conversation with the power couple of the week. This serves as a reminder to remain calm during times of great transition. If you love what you’re creating, and the people that you’re creating with, then that’s enough to pull you through the stressful moments.
Thursday, December 22
The Moon runs into Jupiter during its short transit in Libra. It’s ok to allow your emotional excitement to shine through when these two meet. Retrograde Mercury and Pluto are still teamed up, and are going over the plan with a fine-tooth comb to rule out any glaring points or soft spots in your strategy. VoC 10:32 AM until tomorrow morning.
Friday, December 23
As the Moon enters Scorpio, you feel more positive than you have in quite some time. Normally, when the Moon enters Scorpio, you can feel a little melancholy. Today, however, is not one of those times. It’s like you’ve kicked it up a notch, and feel rejuvenated. That’s what Scorpio is really all about in the grand scheme of things; it’s about moving from one level to the next. VoC in Libra until 5:33 AM.
Saturday, December 24
As a retrograde Mercury inches closer towards the Sun in Capricorn, a connection is forged between Pluto and the Sun. This creates a bridge of communication that speaks to the Moon in Scorpio in harmonious ways. As you prepare yourself to embrace a healthy dose of fantasy, you can’t help but be optimistic about the foundation that has been laid. Enjoy the peace and harmony. VoC 10:22 PM until tomorrow afternoon.
Sunday, December 25
In many parts of the world, good cheer and merriment are being celebrated. This allows communities to come together. Venus in Aquarius is excited due to this harmonious aspect. Let love and light pave the way towards innovation and understanding. VoC until 6:19 PM in Scorpio.
Monday, December 26
Today you might feel the urge to study your feelings, in an effort to declutter your life. Remember that your emotions change, so this energy won’t last too long. What this means is that you may have already cleaned out the closet, so don’t prematurely throw away something that you might need during the rebuilding process.
Tuesday, December 27
The Moon chums up to Saturn today, allowing you to feel emotionally stable. You’re content with who you’ve become. It’s taken great effort on your part not to die on every cross that you’ve come upon during this journey. Had you done that, you wouldn’t have discovered the joy that you now see. VoC 4:46 PM in Sagittarius until tomorrow morning.
Wednesday, December 28
There is a stellium of planets concentrated in the sign of Capricorn, and along with them they are bringing in the energy of Saturn, and the Moon in Sagittarius, due to a loose conjunction. (A stellium of planets happens when three or more planets are bunched together in the birth chart. The planets combine to form a kind of Super planet, acting as one force. With the stellium aspect pattern, the planets are all in the same Zodiac sign). There’s a point in everyone’s life, when you realize that you’ve just undergone a major transformation; you’ve moved from a child to a young adult. This provides you with the ability to experience life from an entirely new vantage point. Enjoy the new scenery. VoC until 6:13 AM.
Thursday, December 29
Since December 25th, the North Node has had a full-on view of Mars. How you navigate the road during the next several weeks will be extremely important, when Mars enters its home sign in late January. The plans you make today could very well influence the decisions of tomorrow, so plan for success. New Moon at 12:53 AM in Capricorn. VoC 11:07 PM in Capricorn until tomorrow afternoon.
Friday, December 30
Uranus, the planet of innovation is finally direct, and has stationed back to the point that it was at in mid-April 2016. It wouldn’t hurt to take a trip down memory lane, to figure out what it was that you did during that time frame. It may have been out of the ordinary, yet could transform into something extraordinary. VoC until 4:29 PM.
Saturday, December 31
For the first time in a long time, the Moon is flying solo. This means that your internal intuition can have a moment of silence, and to just be still. It’s the perfect way to end 2016.
The Moon Void of Course (VoC) is the time period from when the Moon makes its last aspect in one sign before moving into the next sign. The Moon is the fastest-moving planet, and transitions from one sign into the next every 1-3 days. What that means is that the Moon is constantly in motion, it’s never retrograde, so it’s inevitable that she will connect with “something,” i.e. another planet or transit, until the moment that she doesn’t. During the moments when she doesn’t connect, we call it the Moon Void of Course. When these events occur, the best thing to do is to meditate, sit still, and listen to your higher guidance. Sitting still does not mean to physically sit still, although it can be beneficial.
