April Overview:
April can have you feeling like you’ve just signed up for Kaleidoscope, a social experiment in living like someone else. (trykaleidoscope.strikingly.com.) This month the rules change, grow, and expand, allowing you to feel freer, and perhaps like a newbie on your journey. With Jupiter, Venus, and Mercury retrograde this month, things are bound to get interesting. Chiron, the wounded healer, along with the North Node, play a critical role in this month’s awakening. The Sun in Taurus gives us the determination to supersede our wildest expectations. This month we actually clean out the proverbial closet, without anyone telling us to do so. In April, we do the work with a tenaciousness that has even our staunchest critics providing a round of applause. The Full Moon in Libra, and the New Moon in Taurus have us breaking and making new habits that lead us on a path to liberty. When we untangle our own webs, what we end up having is silk.

As Venus retrogrades back to 0° Aries you can’t help but be reminded of life’s lessons. Buried messages could make their way back to you, causing you to be on high alert. This newly uncovered information isn’t meant to force you into any unnecessary action. It’s only uncovered so that you can breathe a sigh of relief.

As the Moon leaves Gemini, it opposes Saturn in Sagittarius. The emotional ties that bound you to your former self are visible. Just remember that they are visible in the rear-view mirror. Hindsight is in fact 20/20. Moon VoC 9:43 AM until 1:28 PM in Cancer.
Monday, April 3
Retrograde Venus enters Pisces today, and T-Squares with the Moon and Saturn. Unconscious fears are there for a reason, and that’s most likely due to you not being ready or equipped with enough knowledge to address them. Now that you have enough information, it will become easier to untie yourself from the knot. Once you do that, you can move from a place of “why the knot” to a place of “why not?”

The Cardinal Grand Cross has Jupiter, the Moon, Pluto, Uranus, Mercury, and the Sun involved in a conversation. This is a moment when you start speaking differently to your most captive audience, you. If you treat yourself with nurturing respect, then others will do the same. With a grand trine, the Moon hanging out with the North Node, and a retrograde Saturn, who could ask for more? Are you supposed to learn about other people’s free will during this lifetime, or are you supposed to pay attention to the power of your own free will? Remember, it begins with one; one action; one cause; one source.

As the Moon makes its way through Virgo, we all have a better understanding of what our “ritual de lo habitual” (daily ritual) is supposed to look like. In case you missed the memo, it’s supposed to look like the future, and we are only supposed to learn from the past, not repeat it.

When you’re able to compartmentalize your emotions in order to gain clarity, count your blessings, because this means that although there is dust, you can at least see where the dust is coming from. Investing in yourself doesn’t mean that you are not investing in others, even if it feels like it to you and them. Make sure that guilt doesn’t disguise itself as a form of love.

When you cross chasms it sometimes hurts. It’s like the chest tightens up so much that you feel you can barely breathe; yet with every step you remove one more barrier; you accomplish one more goal; and you get an even closer view of the possibilities. Venus and Chiron can’t get any closer than they are today. As you cleanse your pain points, make sure to find a clearer path. Do your best to ground your energies today. There is an electric undercurrent that could have you a bit frazzled. Do your best to remain in control of your emotions, and put your fears at bay.

As Mercury retraces its steps it meets up with the Sun in Aries. There is a gigantic spotlight on you, or at least that’s how it appears. It’s difficult to know if they are paying attention, yet you realize that pushing past the borders of your own boundaries is what motivates you, not the accolades from others.

It’s easy for people to say “love yourself first,” or “have faith in the process,” yet there is no internal manual that lets you know when you’ve achieved those principles. You end the month with the North Node at 0° Virgo, and Venus at 0° Aries. As you look over the past month and evaluate the high points, as well as the less than stellar moments, ask yourself what changed? Was it the outcome that changed, or was it the expectation?
The Moon Void of Course (VoC) is the time period from when the Moon makes its last aspect in one sign before moving into the next sign. The Moon is the fastest-moving planet, and transitions from one sign into the next every 1-3 days. What that means is that the Moon is constantly in motion, it’s never retrograde, so it’s inevitable that she will connect with “something,” i.e. another planet or transit, until the moment that she doesn’t. During the moments when she doesn’t connect, we call it the Moon Void of Course. When these events occur, the best thing to do is to meditate, sit still, and listen to your higher guidance. Sitting still doesn’t mean to physically sit still, although it can be beneficial.
