Diane Willis

I always look forward to attending the monthly Chicago IANDS (International Association for Near-Death Studies) meeting at the Evanston Hospital. Diane Willis heads up the Chicago chapter and has done so since the early 1990’s. She is a radiant soul and has single-handedly kept this organization flourishing. She played her Native American flute to open the event, a skill that was gifted to her after her near-death experience. It was a magical contemplation. As I listened, I immediately felt intense heat coming from my hands and shifted into the present moment. Her musical connection with the divine is palpable and an inspiration to those who are graced to bathe in it!

“Reconnective Healing is the new Energy, Light and Information of our planet. It’s a highly evolved form of energy interaction that continues to advance our health, balance and quality of life progress with infinite freedom and expanded consciousness. It promotes our ability to heal ourselves and impact the lives of others.” — Dr. Eric Pearl

Dr. Eric Pearl and his partner, Jillian Fleer, then took the stage. He is a chiropractor who specializes in a powerful process known as Reconnective Healing. While he opened his lecture sharing the details of his mother’s near-death experience, the bulk of the presentation focused on his extraordinary healing gift. While he doesn’t recall his birthing experience, his life has been graced with exceptional experiences ever since. After twelve years of practicing chiropractic, one night a lamp lit, a door opened, and the presence of other beings awakened him within his home. At that moment, he knew he had an opportunity to respond from a place of fear or awe. He chose the latter.

“Ultimately, we are a light placed here, so that others can better see.” — Dr. Eric Pearl

Dr. Pearl and Jillian initiated us into the Reconnective experience. He clarified this healing as being our evolution in all arenas, not just physical, but emotional, mental and spiritual as well. Jillian followed, explaining, “We are mostly energy; we are not primarily physical form. When we meditate or actively listen, we are turning off the part of the brain that is programmed. We allow the frontal lobe to reproduce the chemicals to redirect our vehicle. With Reconnective Healing, we teach you to be a great observer of the art of healing. You experience how to become what you already are with added awareness…you experience gamma brain waves – a mystical occurrence. We cannot teach you how to keep your body in alignment with what your brain is telling you, but we can take you to the experience of God. Love. The Universe. Vibration.” As they described the phenomenon, what I found most interesting was that it required nothing from us. We did not need to do, believe or practice anything. In fact, we didn’t even have to believe in it.

“To the degree to which we are each willing and able to experience our gifts, is the extent to which we can experience them. For many of us, our left-brain feels unsatisfied until we learn enough steps, procedures and techniques to satisfy it. To move beyond, we have to let go of the steps, procedures and techniques.” — Dr. Eric Pearl

Dr. Pearl shared that letting go of technique was the first gift he received with this transmission. The Reconnective Healing spectrum of energy, light and information reveals to us that once we pass the speed of light, disease becomes ease (or healing) and age becomes youth.

“As we vibrate at a higher level of harmony, it not only shifts within us, but within those around us as well. We vibrate at a higher level of truth, and our untruths fall away.” — Dr. Eric Pearl

When we expand, we begin to change one proton at a time. Our expansion is shared with others at the same time. Our questionings and our desire to learn are responsible for the expansion of the universe.

The session ended with a testimonial by one of Dr. Pearl’s students, Ginger Adams. After experiencing Reconnective Healing, she felt something had been released within her. She remembered her worth. She shared, “I got off the table, and I knew that I knew that I knew that I knew that I knew…something had changed. I realized that I could no longer do this, and I moved out of a career. I now manage my own practice. I never considered supporting myself in this way. I don’t know how I got here, but I know it has something to do with the healing. It has to do with saying, ‘Yes.’ Somehow, some way, there was transference. I became what was passing through me, touching me.”

What I found encouraging about the process is that it is to be “played” with. Your faith, hope, and beliefs do not factor into the equation. It doesn’t care if you believe in it. It only cares where your attention is. Dr. Pearl explained that it is a “healing” and not a treatment. It is not focused on any specific, localized area. Likening it to an iceberg, it affects the entirety of your being, beyond what is visible to you.

Dr. Pearl ended the lecture encouraging, “We have all said, ‘Yes,’ even while verbally saying ‘No.’ That’s why we are here.” Hearing this powerful message, I was left with a sense of an infinite world of possibility that exists within and around us. I know that I am saying, “Yes” to so many of life’s gifts, despite myself!
