All About Town – Mind, Body, Spirit – All Things Wellness Expo

By Theresa Puskar

McHenry County, IL – July 30th, 2017

On Sunday, July 30th I attended the All Things Wellness Expo in McHenry County. It was a beautiful day, and despite the lengthy drive, I felt graced to have had an opportunity to attend and review the event.

Theresa Puskar & Valerie Wood

The first speaker I had the pleasure of seeing was Valerie Wood. She is a medium, intuitive and wonderful channel. Upon meeting her, I got an instant sense of warmth, joy and generosity. There was no sense of lack, neediness or negativity of any kind within her. I felt that she was one of the purest souls I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.

During this session, she channeled Archangel Michael, along with several other spirit guides and deceased family members. She was the conduit of joyful connections with kind beings that provided emotional and physical support to all who asked. Early in the event, I asked for guidance and got immediate answers that were delightful “Ah-ha” moments! Last month, during my powerful physiological analysis session with the Biostar Nonlinear Measurement System at the Annual Pyschotronics Conference, we discussed a physical condition and how it is connected to my concern for a family member. During the channeling I received with Valerie, I asked for further information about the condition, as I had fears about manifesting it into a major physical issue.

Let me backtrack a second because I think this is very important. Over twenty years ago, a friend took me to a psychic. When I asked about getting cancer in a particular area of my body, she responded, “Yes, but you will beat it.” I think it is important for me to emphasize that you really have to be careful about the channels, mediums and psychics with whom you seek counsel. If you come across anybody who warns of you imminent illness, or negativity of any kind, run in the other direction. Responsible and conscious healing communicators never share such information. First, they do not emphatically know, and if they got indications, they would not use such specific rhetoric. They may suggest you see a doctor, or have an area of the body checked out by an expert, but knowing the power of their words, they would never make such a specific and negative claim. What metaphysical teachers have taught me is that each of our lives follows a path, but we can veer away from at any moment. While some paths seem solid, our lives are forever evolving, and with each insight and decision we make, we can shift the energy within our bodies. Our minds are so powerful that twenty years later her comment still wreaks havoc in my mind, despite all that I know about energy.

Valerie, on the other hand, connected in a very warm, compassionate and insightful place. She spoke of the powerful empathetic connection I have with the family member, and encouraged me to lovingly but firmly, “Get out of her head”. She emphasized that I need to trust in my loved one’s ability to find her way through her issues. Valerie then immediately shared additional words of encouragement and support. She dispelled the previous reading, and frankly, I needed the additional encouragement. I know I still have work to do on this, but I believe she and my guides steered me back on track.

The second speaker whom I thoroughly enjoyed observing was holistic chiropractor, Dr. Darren Weissman. The title of his interactive lecture was Awakening to Your Gifts in Strange Wrapping Paper. The premise was that our physical and emotional struggles are most often gifts, or buried treasures within each one of us.

He shared the powerful story of his moment of awakening, and how The Lifeline Technique Flow Chart was born from this experience. When the chart came to him, to test it, he quickly ran a LifeLine session over his wife’s neck pain. Much to their delight, it disappeared. He explained that once we understand the nature of our minds and create relationships with them, the body becomes our greatest tool. He cautions that if we don’t build that connection, it can become our most unruly tormentor.

Hand posture is the secret sauce of The LifeLine Technique. As he took us through the various gestures and postures, Dr. Weissman explained that it is as simple as connecting to the energy of love and gratitude. He explained that what we each need to be aware of, is the reactive part of us, our subconscious. Why is this significant? Our subconscious mind orchestrates every cell, gland and system in our body. It also stores memories. When memories are not fully processed, they take on an emotional charge. Once triggered again, the body reacts and takes on that emotional charge as if for the very first time.

He went on to share the two golden rules to his healing technique. The first is to focus on where you are going, note when stressors arrive, and do not avoid them. If we continue to do so, they will never go away. The key is to tell yourself, “I am moving in the direction of my authentic nature, and I will focus on what is genuine to me.” Then with you heart fully engaged and open, focus on already being where you desire to be. The second golden rule is that you should be imaginative. Darren emphasized that your imagination is much bigger than the world you are living in. He explained that our feelings are medicine, thus we are each capable of producing mind medicine.

He then read the collective intention of the group, and shared our group mantra, “I am living passionately, and feeling blessed.” With the support of muscle testing, it was revealed to him that the throat chakra was the energy center that needed attention among the group collective. Taking the exploration further, there were three emotional belief systems that required attention: low self-esteem, a sense of being unlovable, and obsessiveness. Using me as a vehicle for the group, again through muscle testing, he then proceeded to uncover the time when the issues originated. He established that they had arisen in past lives in 1823. To raise our vibration, he asked us to repeat the key phrase, “I’m living with passion.” He then took us through a form of energetic surgery to remove the beliefs. I was fascinated by this experience. It was very affirming because unbeknownst to him, the three issues he unveiled among the group members, were the three distinct issues I have recently noted I needed to heal.

I greatly appreciated how he re-contextualized body misalignments. He reminded us that they are not “problems”, but portals of communication with our subconscious. Ultimately through such powerful communication, we can subsequently heal our bodies, remove the old messages of the subconscious, and raise both our energy and our consciousness.
